The centre appears to advertise the bookmaker's details from North Shields and likely dates back to the 1960/70s. The highly decorative, stylized and colourful top features 5 horses and well known jockeys of the time, including Lester Piggott, with different payouts in pre-decimal currency for each. A true one off, unique piece for the horse racing fan.
