A beautiful antique rustic two handled earthenware French confit pot. Early 19th century rural pottery that was originally used from preserving meat in fat (confit). Larger than normal standing 35cm tall by 37cm wide at the handles. One of the most characterful pots that we have handled for a while and has the most incredible patina and wear.
